This blog post was originally created on April 5th to show my numbers for driving in Atlanta from March 12-30, 2024. At that time, I only posted the quick summary below, thinking I would finish the Lyft details shortly thereafter.
Uber
11 trips earned $103.81
Plus Tips: $20.39
Driving: 3 hours 18 minutes
Distance: 72.2 miles
Lyft
__ trips earned $_____
Drive Time: __ hours __ minutes
Miles driven: _____ miles
Tips: $____
HERide
42 trips earned $645.97
Plus Tips: $43
Driving: 14 hours 52 minutes
Distance: 438.24 miles
My intention in April was to create spreadsheets with the details for Uber, Lyft and HERide, like I did the first time (see my Case Study of Better Pay).
Because I had already completed the Uber and HERide spreadsheets, but not posted them, those are shown below. I realized, however, that documenting Lyft trips is tedious and boring, so I never got back to those calculations, hence the blanks. And honestly, it’s doubtful I’ll get around to finishing the Lyft spreadsheet because it’s SO time consuming!
Besides, Lyft has made some interesting changes recently and you can get a clear visual from the screenshots on Lyft Updates.
Uber - March 14-28
11 Trips Earned $103.81
HERide - March 12-30
42 trips earned $645.97
HERide - May 24-31
17 Trips Earned $342.60
And here is the most recent HERide spreadsheet for the trips taken in the past 7 days from May 24-31, 2024. I will not be creating a spreadsheet or crunching numbers for Lyft trips for this time period; and I’ve only done 1 Uber trip since being back in the ATL.
The primary purpose for sharing my numbers and spreadsheets is to help interested women drivers see what is possible with HERide. My plan is to be in Atlanta until late June, and depending upon my mood and time I make available, I MAY create one last HERide spreadsheet to wrap up my experiment in proving that HERide pays its drivers better. PERIOD!
Thanks SO much for taking time to visit.
PLEASE freely share this information with your rideshare friends and family!
It’s that simple and would be so appreciated.
You have NO idea who YOU know that needs this information.
Remember: YOU Do NOT Need To Be a Rider or Driver to help support the movement for a BETTER rideshare experience. Just share this site with others!
P.S. I’m fairly certain you found value in the content presented here because it doesn’t exist anywhere else. It is my personal experience as a rideshare driver in Atlanta since August 2016. This site was created during Easter 2017 and has found new life since finding HERide.
So, feel free to TIP your rideshare and HERide driver, Anita Johnson. Every moment not “driving for dollars” results in a lot of time to do any and everything, but no money is made immediately. Rideshare drivers are out here for the money. Why else would we drive people from Point A to Point B in the ATL? 🙂
Appreciate Your Support as We ALL Do Better in Rideshare!
