Because retiring is a huge milestone that ought to be celebrated, going forward on this blog, I’ll be sharing information about my newest passions:
Seniors and Veterans
So, while retirement for millions of Americans usually means LOSS of:
- Steady income that was predictable;
- “Full-time” or “part-time” employee income;
- “Friendships” because of shared common ground, interests and experiences with co-workers, colleagues and clients;
- The structure and routines; and
- A sense of identity and purpose
You are probably wondering what any of those bullet points have to do with rideshare driving or even mental health.
This is my way of coming to grips with the reality that as of 9/30/24, I am “medically retired” from driving anyone, anywhere, including myself.
That means I am also now medicated, and MOST unhappy about that, and the more cranky, non-stop talking, and very concerned version of THIS Anita.
So as I reflect on how to organize and distribute what’s next for the beginning of my 67th journey around the sun, I want to leave you for now with the following insightful articles.
